Shaheen has been Pakistan’s go-to strike bowler in every T20 World Cup he has played. His ability to take wickets with the new ball and then return for the death overs makes him genuinely difficult to plan around. Across 2021, 2022, and 2024 editions combined, his record stands out even by the standards of world-class fast bowlers.

Shaheen Afridi’s bond with Lahore Qalandars goes beyond just playing — he has been the heart and soul of the franchise for years. He was handed the captaincy at just 21 and went on to lead them to their first-ever PSL title in 2022. He then led the team to back-to-back titles in 2023 and again in 2025, making him one of the most successful T20 franchise captains Pakistan has ever produced. He even helped design the team’s playing kit — that’s how deep his connection with the club runs.
